Welcome to 2020 from KRC!

After a well-deserved Christmas/New Year Holiday, the crew at Kitchen & Renovation Concepts is back at work and ready for the upcoming year!

January has come and gone rather quickly, but KRC has several exciting projects to look forward to in the coming months. This year, we will be doing extensive renovations and additions to the new Dubbo City Toyota showrooms as well as some work at Taronga Western Plains Zoo, together with some interesting residential projects.

One particularly interesting project that we were involved in in 2019 was the joinery renovation work in the historic old homestead, “Nanima”, outside Wellington. This grand, seven-bedroom home was built in the 1890’s by Charles Barton, the uncle of Banjo Patterson, so renovations had to be sympathetic to the style and grace of the heritage building. If you would like to see this project, it will be showcased on the TV show “Restoration Australia” on the ABC in April of this year.

Over the next year, we are expecting to see earthy tones and brilliant pastels trending in kitchen design, so it’s time to get creative with your colours!  Industrial colours too are increasing in popularity so there will be lots of blues, black and greys in super matt finishes. If you are not sure how to integrate these colours into your renovation, come and have a chat with our knowledgeable staff who can offer you a colour consultation.

Additionally, we are excited to be able to offer some new solid surface options including DuPont Corian and Betta Stone.

  • DuPont Corian is a high-tech solid surface that offers both functionality and aesthetics for residential and commercial projects and is suitable for indoor or outdoor use. This environmentally friendly and high-performance material can be thermoformed to create stunning 2D and 3D designs so we will be able to offer individual feature pieces and curved counters and benchtops. DuPont Corian also has the benefit of seamless joins and is easily repairable. Kitchen & Renovation Concepts will be the only fully accredited installer and fabricator of this beautiful and durable material in Dubbo.
  • Betta Stone is another innovative product that we will be offering for benchtops and splashbacks. Betta Stone is made in Australia from recycled glass so it is a very sustainable and attractive option. It is available in 12mm and 20mm thick sheets and looks very similar to engineered stone, as well as being processed in the same manner, but with very green credentials!

Kitchen and Renovation Concepts, Mudgee is growing rapidly. If you live in the Mudgee region and are considering undertaking a renovation or if you are a builder, extend a visit to Jay and check out the showroom at  1/7 Industrial Ave, Mudgee NSW 2850. Jay has joined the KRC team as our Mudgee franchisee with 19 years of industry experience. In 2020, he is looking forward to developing solid relationships with local builders.

Finally, we are always on the lookout for skilled joinery tradespeople and stonemasons so if you know of anyone who may be interested in joining our growing team, please send them our way.

We, at KRC, are looking forward to the challenges of another busy year full of bringing your projects and developments to life!
